Read the board as a sequence

A removal puzzle asks more than whether a screw is selectable. One piece can limit access to another, so the important question is what changes after removal. Identify an accessible part and predict the next newly accessible part before selecting it.

Work backward from the blockage

Choose the piece you want to release. Identify what holds or covers it, then identify what prevents that blocker from moving. Continue until you reach an action you can perform now. This backward chain gives you a reason for the first move without requiring you to solve the entire board mentally.

Do not assume every version has the same rules

Temporary slots, gravity and selectable screws may differ between levels or versions. Read the current on-screen instructions and observe one removal. Use the dependency method as a way to reason about the board, rather than assuming a particular number of slots or a universal removal order.

Practice with a prediction

Before one action, say which piece you expect to become free. After the action, compare the result with that prediction. If the prediction was wrong, inspect the remaining attachment instead of immediately making another move. This habit builds a more accurate model of the puzzle.
